Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh G Rection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Deftones- You've seen the butcher as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugh G Rection!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Smith!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rection.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rection, right into the meat.
Rection misses with a body kick.
Rection wants to clinch.
Smith misses with a body punch
and Rection counters with an outside leg kick.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rection.
Rection thows a body shot but no joy.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith misses with a left hand

and Rection counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Smith!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Smith tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Rection has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Smith is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith wants to control but Rection is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rection controlling the position easily from mount.
Smith really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Smith wants to hold on but Rection pushes him away.
Rection content just to control the position here.
Rection's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Smith is squirming around, avoiding Rection's attempts to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith is desperately trying to improve his position but Rection has a good base and remains in mount.
Rection avoids the attempt from Smith to control.
Rection lands a big elbow.
Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Smith manages to control the position for a moment.
Rection content just to control the position here.
Smith regains half guard.
Rection will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith trying to hold on to Rection's head to control him but Rection postures up.

Rection is working for a submission of some sort.
Smith wants to get back to full guard.
Rection prevents Smith from standing back up.
Smith is refusing to be controlled, as Rection sits in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Smith manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rection stopping the sweep attempt from Smith.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.

Rection looking for subs off his back but Smith has passed one foot through into half guard.
Smith missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rection is looking to improve his position.
Rection is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smith's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smith's back!
Smith has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Rection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugh G Rection dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Rection thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Smith if he has to take too many more of those.
Rection is looking to slow Smith down with leg kicks.
Rection listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rection scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith misses with a body shot.
Rection turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smith misses with a left hand
and Rection counters with a low kick, right behind Smith 's knee.
Rection scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rection just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith misses with a hook.
Rection lands with a nice body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rection thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Rection feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
Rection is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around?
Rection dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rection. Smith shrugs it off though.
Hugh G Rection seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rection delivers a nice body kick.
Rection throws a head kick that Smith semi-blocks.


It looks like Billy Smith has been cut.
Smith gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
