Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sloan Erak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Maximus decides to stand back up.
Marcus Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maximus scores a takedown into full mount!
Erak keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Maximus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Erak looks a forlorn figure.

Maximus pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Erak is working to get back to half guard.
Maximus controlling from mount.

Maximus has hold of Erak's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Erak manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Erak slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Maximus missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Maximus is stalling here. Erak is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Maximus seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Erak has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Maximus tries to buck Erak off but Erak is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maximus gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Maximus is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Erak pulls his head out easily.

Maximus kicks Erak off and gets back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Erak tries to clinch up but Maximus circles away and keeps his distance.
Maximus misses with a straight right.

Maximus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Erak is breathing heavily.

Maximus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Maximus stands up from half guard.

Maximus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Erak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Erak fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Maximus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Maximus is looking to take a break and control but Erak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Maximus gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Maximus shoots in and bounces Erak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maximus makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Maximus is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Erak looking for a guillotine here but Maximus defends easily.

Maximus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Maximus trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Erak manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Maximus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Erak is one step ahead there.

Maximus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Erak looks to land a combination but Maximus avoids it well.
Maximus lands a head shot.
Maximus swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Erak.
Erak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maximus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Erak moves in looking to clinch but Maximus pushes him off.
Erak has his takedown stuffed

and Maximus counters with a takedown into side control.
Maximus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Erak keeps working.

Maximus decides to stand back up. Maximus steps back and let's Erak get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Maximus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Erak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maximus but Maximus pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Erak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Maximus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Erak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maximus has Erak in his guard.
Maximus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Maximus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Erak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Erak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sloan Erak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maximus throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Erak gets caught flat footed, as Maximus shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Well Maximus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
