PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sid Vicious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Mityou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vicious has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Sid Vicious has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Vicious !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sub Mityou !
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mityou throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vicious misses with a head kick.
Mityou tries to clinch up.

Mityou shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vicious is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mityou in particular looking to stall.

Mityou stands up and beckons Vicious to join him on the feet.

Mityou gets a double leg takedown into Vicious 's guard.
Mityou is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mityou loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mityou passes Vicious 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mityou works his way into full mount!
Mityou landing strikes from the mount and Vicious is in trouble!
Mityou looking to control and managing it successfully.
Vicious really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Mityou might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Vicious knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mityou on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sub Mityou .

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Vicious gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mityou to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mityou slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mityou gets to his feet. Vicious looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mityou is looking to clinch.
Vicious avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck for Vicious with that takedown attempt.

Mityou scores a takedown into full mount!
Mityou controlling from mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Let's hope that Mityou has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Mityou dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Vicious circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mityou throws a head kick that misses
and Mityou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vicious throws a series of punches but Mityou moves out of range.
Vicious lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Vicious shoots in looking for a takedown but Mityou manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vicious 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mityou fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mityou tries to clinch there but Vicious circles away.

Mityou shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mityou keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mityou stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mityou fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vicious sprawls well initially but Mityou persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mityou takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mityou thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vicious 's head.
Mityou passes to side control.

Mityou has hold of Vicious 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vicious seems comfortable defending it but Mityou has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vicious is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vicious is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mityou couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sub Mityou !
