PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Peralta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Peralta!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peralta is looking to clinch but Martin is avoiding it.
Martin lands a glancing blow to the side of Peralta's head.
Martin misses with the combination.
Peralta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Martin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Peralta.

Martin instigates a clinch.
Martin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peralta lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Peralta tries to land a knee to the head but Martin blocks with his arms.
Martin is working Peralta over against the cage.
Peralta looks gassed!
Martin slowing the pace effectively.
Martin scores with a hook to the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Martin.

Martin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peralta glances at the clock... BAM! Martin nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Peralta crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Peralta is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dakota Martin!
Dakota Martin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
