Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Crown!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Crown makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Palhares moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Crown gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Crown is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palhares is controlling him.

Crown has his feet on Palhares's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Crown moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Rousimar Palhares has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Palhares with a lazy takedown attempt
and Crown connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Crown takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Crown connects with a body shot that sends Palhares's belly button to the back.
Palhares doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Crown counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rousimar Palhares. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Palhares gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Crown counters with a nice uppercut.

Palhares doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Crown makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Palhares takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Crown uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oh Palhares is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Palhares doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Crown fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Palhares to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Palhares looks to clinch but Crown throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Palhares taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
