PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Great Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavle Bukilic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bukilic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here I Go Again kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bukilic has closed the distance and engaged Boyka in a clinch.

Boyka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

so Boyka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bukilic wants to stand and escape but Boyka is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bukilic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bukilic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Boyka thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Boyka has control of Bukilic's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bukilic regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Boyka wants to finish this one by submission but Bukilic is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Boyka.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Boyka drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bukilic gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Boyka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bukilic crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boyka - the referee stops the clock and Bukilic gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boyka. Bukilic manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
