Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leonardo Germano!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson dips to his left and cracks Germano with an uppercut!
Germano looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johnson scores with a nice right hand.
Johnson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Germano shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Germano's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Germano shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
Anthony Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonardo Germano.
Germano looks up at the clock. Bad move! Johnson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Germano. Johnson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Johnson!
Anthony Johnson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
