Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cotton Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice sprawl there from Hill as Chase shoots in.
Charlie Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Chase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hill as he avoids it easily.

Hill has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chase uses from the top position.

Chase is pushing down on Hill's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hill is fighting to maintain full guard but Chase has managed to sneak the leg through.

Chase can't keep his opponent in guard - Hill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chase wants to sweep but Hill has passed to side control!
Hill passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Chase!
Chase is wriggling around trying to escape.

Hill is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Chase is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hill's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hill's back!

Chase is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hill is defending well though. Chase let's go of the attempt for now.
