Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bo Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brent McNeil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bo Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brent McNeil!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNeil tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but McNeil swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McNeil connects with the punch.
McNeil shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
McNeil fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bo Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brent McNeil.

McNeil shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but McNeil finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McNeil stands up out of the half guard.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McNeil counters with a two punch combo.

McNeil shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jackson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jackson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

McNeil doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jackson counters with a left and a right that hurts McNeil! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Jackson jumps into full mount!


McNeil is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McNeil throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

McNeil is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Jackson controlling his opponent.
McNeil tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
McNeil wants to get back to his feet.
McNeil is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jackson wants to control the pace but McNeil is squirming around nicely.
McNeil really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

McNeil squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
McNeil bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
McNeil wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McNeil tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jackson moves to clinch but McNeil breaks away
and McNeil counters with a low kick, right behind Jackson 's knee.
Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for McNeil on that attempt.

Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but McNeil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McNeil shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

McNeil shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.
McNeil stops Jackson from standing up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McNeil wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McNeil might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
McNeil looking to pass the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bo Jackson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. McNeil will be more careful next time no doubt.

McNeil shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McNeil gets slowly back to his feet.
McNeil takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by McNeil or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.

McNeil throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McNeil off to one side.

Jackson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends McNeil sprawling to the canvas. Jackson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can McNeil hang on?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jackson tries to clinch but McNeil moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McNeil on the ground.

McNeil is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

McNeil tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.

McNeil shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McNeil shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bo Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
