Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Greaves or perhaps it was just good defense by Canuto which made him look bad.

Greaves feints and as Canuto raises his hands in defense, Greaves changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Canuto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Greaves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Greaves trying to control the position from guard on top but Canuto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Canuto working for submissions but it's allowed Greaves to get to half guard.
Canuto wants to improve his position but Greaves is controlling well.
Canuto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Greaves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Greaves postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Canuto is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greaves, into his guard.
Canuto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Greaves's guard.
Greaves looks gassed!

Canuto is looking for a kimura but Greaves is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Canuto to get the leverage.

Canuto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Greaves is just riding it out for now. Canuto eventually gives up the hold.
Greaves wants to control but Canuto is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Greaves moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Canuto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Greaves dives on top into guard.
Greaves won't allow Canuto to sweep him here.
Greaves controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Greaves wants to control from the top but Canuto keeps moving.
Greaves would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Canuto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Canuto tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Greaves has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Canuto holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Greaves tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Greaves is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Canuto is forced to tap! Great finish!
