Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ba Lil II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Taker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ba Lil II!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Taker!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Taker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lil II is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Lil II has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taker is working away from the top position though.
Lil II is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lil II is not content to let Taker control the position.
Lil II misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Taker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lil II regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lil II has his foot on Taker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Taker works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lil II lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Taker!
Taker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lil II. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lil II is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Taker is surviving well by controlling Lil II's body position as best he can.
Taker is looking to get to half guard.

Taker tries to hold on but Lil II postures up.
Taker is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Lil II looking to control but Taker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Taker tries to lock up and control but Lil II gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Taker is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Lil II is working for a rear naked choke. Taker is not defending it well and Lil II has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Taker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Taker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ba Lil II!
