Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaneonuskatew Citlali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pendragon comes to the cage accompanied by f i g h t. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaneonuskatew Citlali!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Pendragon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Citlali is trying to force a seperation but Pendragon has the dominant position.
Pendragon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Citlali backwards.


It looks like Kaneonuskatew Citlali has been cut.
Pendragon misses with a body punch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Pendragon - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pendragon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Pendragon misses with a hook to the ribs.

Citlali prevents the takedown attempt.
Pendragon tries to work over Citlali's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Citlali wants to break free but Pendragon has control.
Citlali tries to break free but Pendragon pushes him back against the cage.
Citlali blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Pendragon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pendragon is looking to clinch but Citlali is avoiding it.
Pendragon tries to clinch but Citlali moves out of range.
Citlali lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pendragon at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Citlali checks a leg kick.
Citlali slips under a jab.
Pendragon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Citlali.

Pendragon clinches up against the cage.

Pendragon manages to break the clinch.
Pendragon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Citlali defends it nicely.
Nice defenses there by Pendragon.

Pendragon takes one to the chin there.
Pendragon tries to clinch up but Citlali circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice takedown defense from Pendragon. No joy for Citlali on that attempt.
Citlali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pendragon manages to avoid it.
A lazy left from Citlali finds it's target.
Pendragon blocks a jab.

Pendragon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pendragon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Citlali's face.

Citlali tries to reverse the position but Pendragon maintains control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Citlali holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pendragon tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Citlali is trying to escape the mount.
Pendragon punching from mount but Citlali doing a good job of avoiding damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pendragon sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Pendragon unloads with some shots from mount but Citlali bucks and avoids them well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pendragon stuns Citlali with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pendragon darts in trying to clinch
and Citlali counters with a right hand to the body.
Citlali fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Citlali fails with a takedown attempt.
Citlali looks to land a left hand but Pendragon moved out of range nicely.

Pendragon tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Citlali counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sloppy strikes from Pendragon. Those never looked like landing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pendragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kaneonuskatew Citlali seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pendragon doesn't manage to clinch there - Citlali circles away.
Citlali fails to land with a series of punches.

Citlali looks to land a right hand but Pendragon moved out of range.
Pendragon tries to clinch but Citlali is having none of it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pendragon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Pendragon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Citlali was well out of range. Poor timing from Pendragon.

Pendragon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Citlali.
Citlali keeps the fight on the outside.
Pendragon tries to clinch there but Citlali circles away.

Pendragon misses with a body kick.
Pendragon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pendragon ducks under a wild hook from Citlali.
Pendragon tries to close the distance and clinch but Citlali swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Citlali swats away the attempt to clinch by Pendragon.

Pendragon clinches.
Pendragon can't find room to land a body shot as Citlali controls the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that George Pendragon will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pendragon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Citlali loads up on a big right hand but Pendragon slips the punch.

Pendragon has Citlali pressed against the cage, preventing Citlali from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Citlali wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pendragon misses with a short punch on the inside.

Pendragon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Citlali throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pendragon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Pendragon tries to move into range but Citlali moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab from Citlali misses.
Pendragon has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pendragon is defended easily by Citlali.
Pendragon is looking to clinch but Citlali is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Citlali throws a hook to the side of Pendragon's head but Pendragon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Citlali fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pendragon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Citlali paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Citlali connects with a body shot.
Citlali goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Citlali throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fighters circling - Citlali throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Citlali throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pendragon rushes Citlali and presses him up against the cage.
Pendragon taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Citlali can't break the clinch.
Citlali is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Pendragon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pendragon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Citlali tries to break free but Pendragon pushes him back against the cage.
Pendragon has Citlali pressed against the cage.

Pendragon tries to throw a body punch but Citlali avoids it by throwing Pendragon back against the cage.
George Pendragon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pendragon misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pendragon is looking for a takedown.

Pendragon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pendragon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kaneonuskatew Citlali has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Citlali misses with a right hand

and Pendragon counters with a shoot takedown. Citlali fights it but they end up in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to George Pendragon.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pendragon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
