Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augustin Carmona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janos Prohaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Augustin Carmona!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Janos Prohaska!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prohaska tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carmona was well out of range. Poor timing from Prohaska.
Carmona throws a low kick but Prohaska moves out of range easily.
Carmona throws a head kick that misses.
Carmona lands with a hook. Prohaska tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Carmona on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Carmona misses with a kick to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carmona, as that shot connected.
A jab from Carmona does it's job there.

Carmona throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Prohaska was covering up waiting for the punch and Carmona finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Carmona loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carmona tries to free his leg and advance position but Prohaska is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Prohaska is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Prohaska avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carmona throws an elbow that misses. Prohaska uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carmona's guard. Nice move by Prohaska!
Carmona is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carmona is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Prohaska rolls with it to try and escape but Carmona cranks on the arm and Prohaska is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Augustin Carmona!
Augustin Carmona seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
