The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galloway fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Galloway looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jacobs shoots in looking for a takedown. Galloway tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Galloway manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacobs dives in and grabs Galloway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Galloway pushes down on Jacobs's head and hops out.

Jacobs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Galloway to the mat! Galloway manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jacobs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jacobs gets to his feet. Galloway looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Galloway will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Galloway moves in looking to clinch but Jacobs pushes him off.

Jacobs is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Galloway's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jacobs slips a nice elbow through Galloway's hands, connecting with Galloway's forehead.

Jacobs in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Galloway tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jacobs!
