The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermot throws a front kick that sends Alamar stumbling back into the cage.

McDermot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McDermot sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alamar defending well though.

McDermot is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alamar is just riding it out for now. McDermot eventually gives up the hold.
Alamar is trying is best to control the position here.

Alamar is looking for a sweep. McDermot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

McDermot has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Alamar defend it? McDermot steps over the head and cranks it - Alamar is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McDermot!
