Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Wufie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Alphen Martirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wufie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beg Waves. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martirez with a poor takedown
and Wufie counters with a head kick. That will keep Martirez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
John Alphen Martirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martirez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Wufie counters with a good low kick that Martirez was not able to check.
Zhang Wufie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Alphen Martirez.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zhang Wufie was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
