Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Protacio Jawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimiliano Tormento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Massimiliano Tormento told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jawo takes a swing at Tormento's ribcage but misses.
Jawo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tormento moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tormento tries to land a leg kick but Jawo saw it coming and moves away.
Tormento throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jawo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jawo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tormento.

Tormento throws a front kick aimed at Jawo's knee but Jawo avoids it well.

Jawo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tormento has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tormento decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
