Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mitchael Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young comes to the cage accompanied by Young Forever- Jay Z ft. Mr Hudson. Paul Thomas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitchael Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Thomas!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas misses with a hook. Young ducked under it nicely.
Thomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Young, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Young moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Young has his takedown stuffed
and Thomas counters with a nice uppercut.
No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Young tries for a takedown but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchael Young. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Young is just out of range.
Thomas scores with a shot to the body.

Young shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Young makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Young content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Young's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Young has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Thomas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Young can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Thomas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Young gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Young postures up and lands a big shot to Thomas's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Young missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Young scoring with punches to the head and body.

Thomas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Thomas looking for a sweep. Not yet Thomas, not yet.
Young postures up and lands a big shot to Thomas's brow.
Thomas wants to sweep but no luck.
Young in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Thomas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Young doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Young manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Thomas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Thomas moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Young has worked his arm free - good work by Young!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Thomas working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Young is looking to get back to his feet here but Thomas is keeping cool and he's managed to take Young's back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Thomas looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Young taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Paul Thomas!
A very excited looking Paul Thomas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
