The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Mcgarry or perhaps it was just good defense by Fu which made him look bad.
Fu lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mcgarry takes a step back to recover.
Fu misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fu bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mcgarry shoots in looking for a takedown. Fu tries to sprawl out of it but Mcgarry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mcgarry fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Mcgarry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcgarry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fu tries to avoid it but Mcgarry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fu to the ground. Fu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mcgarry has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fu.

Fu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mcgarry's head.

Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fu sprawls well. Fu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcgarry gets slowly back to his feet.
Mcgarry misses with a takedown attempt - Fu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fu keeps Mcgarry at a distance using the push kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Fu.

Mcgarry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fu swivels and escapes.
Fu leaves Mcgarry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice body kick there by Fu.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fu.
Crunch! Fu slams his shin into Mcgarry's torso.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fu lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mcgarry will feel that in the morning.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mcgarry is defended easily by Fu.
Freddy Fu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fu throws a sloppy head kick and Mcgarry moves out of range easily.
Mcgarry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fu swivels and escapes.
Fu fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fu tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fu sprawls well. Fu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcgarry gets slowly back to his feet.
Fu goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Fu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mcgarry tries to clinch up but Fu circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice body kick from Fu.

Fu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mcgarry has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mcgarry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fu is trying to defend but Mcgarry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mcgarry is trying to work for a kimura but Fu is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fu pushes Mcgarry off looking to stand but Mcgarry dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mcgarry frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mcgarry quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mcgarry but it's paid off an Fu is forced to tap! Nice work by Mcgarry.
