Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Zeke Acacia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calvin Cahoon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Acacia gets tackled into the cage by Cahoon. Cahoon maintains the clinch.

Cahoon pulls Acacia into guard.
Cahoon being controlled here, momentarily.
Cahoon has a closed guard, preventing Acacia from standing up.

Cahoon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Acacia lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cahoon backs up against the cage.
Acacia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cahoon shoots in for a takedown but Acacia shows good takedown defense.

Cahoon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Acacia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cahoon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Acacia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Acacia is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Acacia prevents Cahoon from moving into mount.
Acacia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cahoon on the ground.
Cahoon is looking to take a break and control but Acacia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cahoon decides to stand back up. Cahoon steps back and let's Acacia get back to his feet.
Acacia misses with a low kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Acacia.
Cahoon doesn't manage to clinch there - Acacia circles away.
Cahoon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Cahoon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Acacia as he avoids it easily.
Acacia lands with a cross.

Cahoon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Acacia.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Acacia.
Cahoon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Cahoon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Cahoon darts in and clinches Acacia up against the cage.
Cahoon has Acacia pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Acacia manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Zeke Acacia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvin Cahoon.
Acacia is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cahoon pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Acacia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cahoon has him pressed against the cage.

Cahoon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cahoon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cahoon is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cahoon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A chopping leg kick lands by Acacia.
Cahoon misses with a takedown
and Acacia counters with a good low kick that Cahoon was not able to check.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Zeke Acacia will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A slapping body kick lands there for Acacia.
Acacia tests Cahoon's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Acacia lands the left hand.
Acacia darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Zeke Acacia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cahoon fails with the takedown.
Zeke Acacia is winning the standup battle so far.
Acacia lands a jab to the nose.
Acacia takes a swing at Cahoon's ribcage but misses.

Cahoon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Acacia to the ground. Cahoon is now in Acacia's guard.

Acacia manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A combination from Cahoon does no damage.
Acacia clobbers Cahoon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Acacia kicks Cahoon off and gets to his feet.
Cahoon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Cahoon looks for a takedown but Acacia sprawls well.
Cahoon dodges the punch combination from Acacia.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Acacia throws a sloppy head kick and Cahoon moves out of range easily.
Cahoon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Cahoon fails with a takedown attempt.
Acacia lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Cahoon shoots in looking for a takedown. Acacia tries to sprawl out of it but Cahoon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Acacia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cahoon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Acacia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cahoon somewhat.
Cahoon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Acacia feints and then cracks Cahoon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cahoon down.

Cahoon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Acacia paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Acacia throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cahoon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Acacia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cahoon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Acacia is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Cahoon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Acacia as he jumps to the side.
Acacia leaves Cahoon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Cahoon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Acacia swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cahoon misses with a takedown attempt - Acacia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Acacia.

Cahoon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Cahoon sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Acacia is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Cahoon tries to control but Acacia wriggling away.

Acacia tries to lock up and control but Cahoon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cahoon is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Acacia has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Acacia!

Cahoon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Acacia uses it to pass to side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zeke Acacia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Acacia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
