Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Negreanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 19 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Negreanu!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Negreanu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bauer defends it nicely.

Nice uppercut lands for Bauer. That snapped Negreanu's head back.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Negreanu throws a hook but Bauer avoids it easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bauer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bauer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Negreanu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bauer cracks Negreanu with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Negreanu misses with a takedown attempt - Bauer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Negreanu throws out a loose jab but Bauer uses good head movement to avoid it.

Negreanu darts in and clinches Bauer up against the cage.
Negreanu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bauer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Negreanu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Negreanu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bauer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Negreanu jumps guard but Bauer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Negreanu is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Negreanu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bauer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bauer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Negreanu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bauer defends well.

Bauer forces his way into half guard.
Bauer is pressing down on Negreanu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Negreanu is holding on for now.
Negreanu is trying to control but can't.
Bauer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Negreanu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Negreanu has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bauer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Negreanu.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vic Bauer.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bauer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
