The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Chernat.
A combination from Chernat does no damage.
Chernat fails to land with a series of punches.
Filipowicz shoots in for a double leg but Chernat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chernat lands a jab to the nose.
Chernat jabs Filipowicz to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Chernat throws a right hand that Filipowicz ducks under and follows up with a left that Filipowicz also avoids with ease.
Filipowicz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chernat is trying to defend but Filipowicz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chernat is not content to let Filipowicz control the position.
