Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Altropos Dakota!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Olrax Recto!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dakota misses with a leg kick.
Recto misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Recto falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dakota counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Recto's guard now.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dakota slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dakota throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Recto takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Recto takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dakota landing a few strikes.
Dakota working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Recto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Recto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dakota. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dakota thows a huge punch but Recto dodges it nicely.

Dakota lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dakota lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
It looks like Olrax Recto has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Recto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dakota scores with a couple of nice shots.
Recto wants to improve his position but Dakota is controlling well.
Dakota content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dakota tries to pass to full mount but Recto defends it.
Recto is trying to stand up here but Dakota is controlling him well.

Recto keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dakota slips a nice elbow through Recto's hands, connecting with Recto's forehead.
Recto looks like he's trying to stand up.

The cut above Olrax Recto's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Dakota perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Recto is still in real trouble! Can Dakota finish him?
Olrax Recto's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Olrax Recto's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Altropos Dakota!
