Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Burrows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burrows kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Station. The key to victory for Lincoln Burrows has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lincoln Burrows!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Flair!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burrows swinging wildly here.
Burrows looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Burrows drops Flair with a right and a left! Burrows comes rushing in but Flair regains his composure and manages to keep Burrows in guard.


Flair is rocked!


It looks like Mike Flair has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Burrows is looking to work some ground and pound but Flair has wrist control.
Flair seems keen to control Burrows's posture.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Flair tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flair preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Burrows in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Flair wants to sweep here but Burrows controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Flair was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Burrows misses with a few strikes there.
Burrows fails to land the takedown.

Burrows throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Flair has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Burrows finds it's way round the side to connect with Flair's head.

and Flair counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Flair seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Flair looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Flair is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burrows moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Burrows manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Flair manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flair has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Burrows postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Flair looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Burrows is working Flair over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Flair hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Burrows misses with a few strikes there.

Flair avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Flair drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Flair wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Burrows, who protects the arm well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Flair goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Burrows rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Flair's guard! Nice work there by Burrows!
Burrows throws a strike but Flair rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flair wants to control from the top but Burrows keeps moving.
Burrows is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Burrows is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Flair thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Burrows if he has to take too many more of those.
Flair fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Burrows looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lincoln Burrows is winning the standup battle so far.
Burrows throws a right and a left that Flair avoids nicely.
Burrows misses with a two punch combination.
A telegraphed right hand from Burrows misses the target.
Burrows fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Flair looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Flair slips under a jab.
Burrows's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Burrows duly obliges.
Burrows darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Flair counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flair.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Flair advances position into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Flair has an Americana. Burrows didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Flair is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Flair hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mike Flair!
Mike Flair decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
