The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Male avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Male fails in his attempt to clinch.
Male throws a series of strikes that have Alekhine backpedaling.

It looks like Alexander Alekhine has been cut.
Male looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alekhine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alekhine dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Male. That did some damage!
Male really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Male drives through and clinches with Alekhine against the cage.

Male lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Alekhine backwards.
Alekhine tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Male avoids it.
Male lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Male wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alekhine has him pressed against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Male swats away the attempt to clinch by Alekhine.
Male will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Male goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Alekhine gets tackled into the cage by Male. Male maintains the clinch.
The referee calls for Male to work.
Male lands a body punch.
Male lands a right hand.

That has opened up Alexander Alekhine's cut even more.

Male breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alekhine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alekhine lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Male has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Male and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Male closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A body shot lands from Male.
Male lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Male throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Alekhines head.

Alekhine is rocked!
Male lands a nice shot to the body.
Male stalls.
Male scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Alekhine is still on wobbly legs! Can Male finish him?

The cut above Alexander Alekhine's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Male slowing the pace effectively.

Male pushes Alekhine back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Male breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Male connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Alekhine covering up! Male comes in with a big uppercut and Alekhine goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alpha Male!
