The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carpenter misses with a jab, cross combination.
A head kick misses from Henry.
Henry fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Carpenter throws a nice looking combination but Henry bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Henry slips a jab and a cross from Carpenter.
Henry throws a hook but Carpenter avoids it easily.
Henry misses with a straight left.
A left and a right from Carpenter both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Scotty Henry has been cut.
Carpenter swinging wildly here.
Carpenter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Henry slips a jab and a cross from Carpenter.
Henry avoids a punch combination nicely.
Henry lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carpenter misses with a combination
and Henry counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Carpenter is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Carpenter lands a left and a right that send Henry crashing to the mat, dazed. Carpenter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Henry is rocked!
Carpenter misses with a wild combination.
Henry is still on wobbly legs! Can Carpenter finish him?
Carpenter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carpenter misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Carpenter is breathing heavily.
Henry tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Carpenter is able to avoid easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henry drops his hands momentarily. Carpenter doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Henry staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Henry doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
