Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Compton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Lee!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Compton has managed to clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Compton.
Compton taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Lee jumps guard but Compton stands there with Lee around his waist. Lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Compton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Horrible takedown by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Compton which made him look bad.
Peter Compton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Lee.
Compton looks to land a right hand but Lee moved out of range.
Compton fails in his attempt to clinch.

Compton has managed to clinch.
Lee wants a takedown but no success here.
Compton stalling the fight.
Lee is working for takedown but Compton is calmly controlling the position for now.
Compton lands a knee to the body.
Lee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Compton just stands there and leans against the cage.

Compton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Compton as he avoids it easily.

Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Compton.
Lee shoots in and drives through. Compton sprawls well.
Lee looks gassed!
Lee keeps the fight on the outside.
Peter Compton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Compton scoring well with a low kick there.
Compton cracks the inside of Lee's front leg.

Compton has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
Compton has Lee pressed against the cage.
Compton makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Compton breaks the clinch.
Compton lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like John Lee has been cut.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Compton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lee doesn't seem phased though.


Lee is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Compton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Compton finish him?
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Compton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lee seems to have recovered his senses.
Lee shoots in but Compton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lee ducks under a wild hook from Compton.
Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lee shoots in and drives through. Compton sprawls well.
Compton cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head.
Compton fails with an attempt to clinch.

Compton darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Lee tries for a takedown but Compton manages to get underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee calls for Compton to work.
Compton using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Compton leaning against his opponent.
Compton lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Compton's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lee has Compton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Compton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Compton is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Compton gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.
A nice left hand lands by Compton.

Lee has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Compton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Compton trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lee lands a shot to the body.

Compton fending off the submission attempt from Lee.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Compton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lee keeps control of the position as Compton tries to break free.

Lee looking for the choke from the back.
Compton controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lee is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Compton is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Compton will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on John Lee's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Lee drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lee stands and throws Compton's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lee landing a few strikes.
Lee cracks Compton with a big right hand but Compton just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Lee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Compton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lee throws an elbow but Compton slips to the side and avoids it well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Compton keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee working away.
Compton prevents Lee from moving into mount.

Lee in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Compton is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Lee!
