Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Summers !
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy shoots for a takedown but Summers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burgundy tries to clinch but Summers moves away

and Summers counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Burgundy!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Summers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Burgundy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Burgundy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Summers on the ground.

Summers jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Burgundy manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Burgundy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Summers is looking to take a break and control but Burgundy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Burgundy is desperately trying to improve his position but Summers has a good base and remains in mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Summers just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

You can see the frustration on Burgundy's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Summers lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Burgundy is trying to get back to his feet but Summers has full control of the position and if anything, Burgundy has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Summers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Summers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burgundy's waist but Burgundy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Summers off to one side.

Summers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burgundy tries to avoid it but Summers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burgundy to the ground. Burgundy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ron Burgundy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Burgundy dives in and grabs Summers 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Summers pushes down on Burgundy's head and hops out.
Burgundy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Summers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Burgundy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Summers tries to avoid it but Burgundy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Summers to the ground. Summers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Burgundy tries to clinch up but Summers circles away and keeps his distance.

Burgundy shoots in for a takedown but Summers shows good takedown defense.

Burgundy moves in looking to clinch but Summers pushes him off.
Burgundy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Summers as he avoids it easily.

Burgundy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Burgundy lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Summers is on top in guard.

Summers is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Burgundy trying to keep a closed guard but Summers is proving a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Burgundy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Summers puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Summers is nestled in close to Burgundy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nick Summers hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

I would just about give that final round to Nick Summers .
