Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wyatt Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wyatt Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Harris has Dixon up against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harris pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Harris manages to break the clinch.

Harris rushes Dixon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Dixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dixon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harris pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Raymond Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wyatt Dixon.
Harris lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Dixon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Harris.
Harris is pressed up against the cage. Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Harris down to the mat. Harris avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dixon fails with the takedown

and Harris moves into the clinch.
Harris connects with a nasty looking knee right to Dixon's face.
Harris landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Harris with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Dixon looks gassed!
Harris goes for a takedown attempt but Dixon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dixon looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. Dixon pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Harris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harris wants to stand but Dixon has his arm trapped.

Dixon is trying to get back to half guard.
Dixon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Harris wants to control but Dixon is keeping him busy.
Dixon is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dixon trying to control but Harris flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Dixon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Dixon breaks Harris's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Dixon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Harris keeping full guard, as Dixon tries to pass.

Harris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Dixon is stalling in the full guard.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but Dixon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Harris wants to sweep here but Dixon controlling him for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris keeping moving, preventing Dixon from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Harris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dixon as he jumps to the side.
Dixon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Harris drives through and clinches with Dixon against the cage.

Harris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wyatt Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Harris clinches.
Knees to the body from Harris.
Dixon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raymond Harris dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dixon.
Dixon tries for a takedown but Harris circles away easily

and Harris moves into the clinch.
A body shot lands from Harris.
Dixon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Raymond Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wyatt Dixon.
Dixon is working for takedown but Harris is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dixon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Harris is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Harris pulls guard successfully.
Harris knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dixon on the ground.
Dixon wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Harris is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Dixon is looking to work some ground and pound but Harris has wrist control.
Harris wants to stand but Dixon is controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Harris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dixon swivels and escapes.

Harris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dixon, pushing him back against the cage.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dixon smiles and moves away.
Harris shoots in and drives through. Dixon sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

and Harris counters by clinching up.

Harris manages to pull guard.
Dixon wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but Dixon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Harris has control of Dixon's left arm, preventing Dixon from doing any damage.

Dixon stops Harris from standing up.
Dixon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Harris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Knees to the body from Harris.
Harris tries for a takedown. No joy.
Harris lands a left hand.
Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Harris avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dixon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dixon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dixon trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dixon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dixon postures up in Harris's guard and throws a big left but Harris blocks it.
Dixon passes Harris's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Harris is trying to stand back up but Dixon is controlling him
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dixon throwing shots but Harris is blocking nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Harris takes the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raymond Harris dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Harris. No joy for Dixon on that attempt.
Harris shoots in but Dixon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dixon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harris is fending him off so far but Dixon persists. Nope, Harris circles away and we're back to standing.

Dixon drops back looking for a leg! Harris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harris manages to kick Dixon off! Dixon jumps back into Harris's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harris is controlling Dixon's posture.
Harris looking to control.
Dixon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Harris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wyatt Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dixon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Harris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dixon pinned against the cage. Dixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice takedown defense from Harris. No joy for Dixon on that attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Raymond Harris showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Harris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
