Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ashraf West!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West stuns Wittman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
West connects with a body shot that sends Wittman's belly button to the back.
West is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wittman tries to score a power double leg takedown but West sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wittman somewhat.

West has Wittman up against the cage in a clinch.

Wittman pulls guard successfully.
Wittman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Wittman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wittman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wittman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. West can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
West sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
West wants to get back to his feet.
Wittman content to control rather than advance.
Wittman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Wittman is pressing down on West's thigh, looking to free his foot. West is holding on for now.

We're going to have a standup here because Mike Wittman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Wittman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. West can't fight it off and eventually Wittman manages to take the fight to the floor. West looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wittman gets control of West's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wittman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wittman shoots in and bounces West off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wittman looking to sit in guard and control but West gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wittman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wittman sees it coming and avoids it easily.

West closes the distance and clinches.
West landing knees to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wittman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wittman tries to pull guard but West holds him up against the cage and eventually Wittman drops back down to his feet.

West throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wittman blocks it with crossed arms.

West throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wittman was covering up waiting for the punch and West finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wittman kicks West off and gets to his feet.
No luck for West with that takedown attempt.
Wittman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
West throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wittman on the side of the head.

I think West has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
