The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieri throws out a powerful jab.
Vieri avoids the head kick by Rosalia.
Rosalia walks into a left hand.
Vieri feints and as Rosalia raises his hands in defense, Vieri changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vieri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rosalia wants to sweep but no luck.
Vieri stays in close to Rosalia's body and controls the position.
Vieri passes Rosalia's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rosalia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vieri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vieri is keen to just control but Rosalia is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieri works his way into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vieri advances to mount.
Rosalia tries to hold on but Vieri pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vieri with shots to the head and body - Rosalia looks very uncomfortable down there.
Vieri trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Vieri wants to finish this one by submission but Rosalia is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vieri.
Vieri is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rosalia can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Vieri avoids the attempt from Rosalia to control.

Vieri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vieri loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rosalia scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Vieri land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Vieri stands and salutes the crowd.

A relieved looking Erkki Vieri thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
