PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Trigger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez comes into the arena with Mexican Mariachi blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Trigger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chavez, as that shot connected.
Trigger walks into a stiff left hand from Chavez.
Trigger fails to land the takedown.
Trigger checks the leg kick.
Trigger shoots in for a takedown but Chavez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Trigger doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chavez counters with a left to the body.
Angel Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Trigger.
Trigger looks gassed!
Trigger tries to close the distance and clinch but Chavez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Trigger throws a poor cross that misses
and Chavez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Trigger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Trigger just misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chavez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Trigger's head.

Trigger is rocked!
Chavez is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Trigger hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Angel Chavez!
