Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mortis's entrance music is Crush 'em by Megadeth. A fine choice. Williams has chosen Alice In Chains - Rooster as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Mortis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Williams!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortis throws a front kick aimed at Williams's knee but Williams avoids it well.
Williams fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Mortis swinging wildly here.
Williams pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mortis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mortis throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Williams lands a nice hook to Mortis's body. Mortis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Williams checks the leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Williams.
Good exchange - Mortis coming out on top.

Mortis misses with a double jab
and Williams counters with a stiff right hand.
Mortis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mortis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Williams.

Williams takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Mortis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mortis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Williams is nestled in close to Mortis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mortis is not content to let Williams control the position.
Mortis is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Williams is stalling here. Mortis is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Williams seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mortis has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
