Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flash Elorde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Herdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elorde misses with a double jab
and Herdy counters with a nice kick to the body.
Herdy misses with a straight left.
Herdy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Elorde takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Elorde throws a jab but it's blocked by Herdy.
Herdy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Elorde.
Elorde throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Herdy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Elorde. Elorde circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Herdy rushes Elorde and presses him up against the cage.

Elorde drops down looking for an ankle pick but Herdy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Herdy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Elorde on the side of the head.
Elorde moves out of range of the body kick from Herdy.
Elorde shoots for a double leg takedown but Herdy sprawls well. He's pushed Elorde's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Elorde looks to land a combination but Herdy avoids it well.

Elorde dives in and grabs Herdy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Herdy pushes down on Elorde's head and hops out.

Herdy cracks Elorde with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Elorde looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Herdy finish him?

Herdy cracks Elorde with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Herdy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Elorde to stand back up!

Elorde is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Herdy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Herdy throws a leg kick which misses Elorde's front leg but catches the back leg as Elorde tries to avoid it.
Herdy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Elorde. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Herdy closes the distance and pushes Elorde back into the cage.
