The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr fails with a takedown attempt.

Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Jones is looking to stand up but Kerr won't let him.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kerr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving.

Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Anderson Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kerr shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kerr stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Kerr swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Kerr shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jones lands a nice hook to Kerr's body. Kerr takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kerr shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Kerr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kerr controls the pace.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kerr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kerr pushes Jones off and scrambles back to his feet.

Kerr shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kerr takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kerr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Kerr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kerr has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Kerr gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jones wants to sweep here but Kerr controlling him for the moment.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kerr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kerr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kerr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kerr has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
Kerr is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Kerr tries for a takedown. No joy.
Anderson Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Kerr.
