The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolden throws a looping overhand right but Granite ducks down to avoid it.
Bolden throws a hook but Granite blocks it.

Granite drives through with a takedown into Bolden's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Granite tries to free his leg and advance position but Bolden is retaining full guard.
Bolden trying to keep a closed guard but Granite is proving a slippery customer.
Granite trying to control the position from guard on top but Bolden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bolden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bolden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Granite is looking to improve his position.
Granite is not content to let Bolden control the position.

Bolden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Granite with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bolden is thwarting Granite's attempts to control the position.
Bolden is pressing down on Granite's thigh, looking to free his foot. Granite is holding on for now.
Bolden not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bolden passes to full mount!
Bolden lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Rocky Granite has been cut.
Bolden postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Granite looks a forlorn figure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolden lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The cut above Rocky Granite's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rocky Granite's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Robert Bolden bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
