Benoit kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is TNT - ACDC. Matteu Martinez has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Martinez or perhaps it was just good defense by Benoit which made him look bad.
Martinez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Benoit.
Martinez tries to close the distance and clinch but Benoit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A big left from Martinez misses.
Martinez lands with a good body shot.
Martinez misses with a two punch combination.

Martinez scores with a jab. Benoit acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Martinez is still in real trouble! Can Benoit finish him?
Martinez seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benoit throws a monster overhand right that drops Martinez! Benoit follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
