The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz looking to score a takedown here. Katarina is defending well but Cruz drives through and ends up in Katarina's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Katarina can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Cruz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Katarina quickly recovers to half guard.
