Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Todd Haskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fergus McRedd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haskins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kid Rock - Bawitdaba. McRedd is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Shikari - Sorry You're Not a Winner. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McRedd fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Haskins, pushing him back against the cage.

Haskins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but McRedd regains guard immediately.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Haskins trying to control but McRedd is working from the bottom.
Haskins looking to sit in guard and control but McRedd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Haskins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McRedd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McRedd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McRedd throws a big elbow that misses.

McRedd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McRedd throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haskins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McRedd is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
McRedd stands up over Haskins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Haskins throws his legs up looking for a submission but McRedd uses it to pass to side control.
Haskins takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
McRedd looks up at the clock and then as Haskins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McRedd smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Haskins is looking for a sweep. McRedd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Haskins wants to control but McRedd is keeping busy.
Haskins tries to get to full guard but McRedd has control of the leg.
McRedd wants to free his trapped foot but Haskins is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McRedd thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McRedd prevents Haskins from improving his position.
McRedd thows a huge punch but Haskins dodges it nicely.

McRedd looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Haskins is pressing down on McRedd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Haskins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McRedd's guard.
McRedd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McRedd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Haskins kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Haskins trying to control the position from guard on top but McRedd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McRedd is looking to sinch up a triangle. Haskins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McRedd's body to avoid the submission. McRedd has instead reached around Haskins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McRedd arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
