Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shileds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Manero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shileds's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Remeber the Name. Manero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Night Fever - The Bee Gees kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Manero lands a body shot.

Shileds misses with a combination
and Manero counters with a nice uppercut.
Manero wants to slow Shileds down by chopping away at his legs.
Shileds misses with a double jab.
Manero lands a right hook to the body.
Manero goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shileds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manero dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Manero counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Manero looks to land a right hand but Shileds moved out of range.
Shileds closes the distance and clinches up with Manero, looking for a takedown. Shileds pushes Manero against the cage but Manero circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shileds shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manero but Manero pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shileds is breathing heavily.
Manero slaps away a takedown attempt from Shileds, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Manero throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shileds stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Manero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shileds doesn't seem bothered though.

Manero throws a leg kick but Shileds sees it coming and moves out of range.
Tony Manero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shileds shoots in looking for a takedown. Manero tries to sprawl out of it but Shileds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A slapping leg kick lands for Manero.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Shileds. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Manero connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shileds momentarily.
Manero scores with a jab to the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Manero lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Shileds takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shileds.

Manero cracks Shileds with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Manero has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shileds to stand back up!

It looks like Jack Shileds has been cut.
