The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodley walks forward, straight into a front kick from Mandic.
Mandic fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Woodley is out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Mandic. Those never looked like landing.
Woodley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mandic walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Woodley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Woodley slips a jab and a cross from Mandic.
Woodley scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Douchan Mandic has been cut.
Mandic looks to throw the jab but Woodley is out of range.

Mandic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woodley stops Mandic from standing up.
Woodley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mandic tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woodley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mandic pinned against the cage. Mandic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Woodley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mandic uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mandic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Woodley circles away quickly and effectively.

Woodley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mandic on his heels. He'll look to pass Mandic's guard now, I'm sure.
Woodley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Woodley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mandic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mandic is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woodley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mandic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woodley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mandic throws an elbow that misses. Woodley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mandic's guard. Nice move by Woodley!

Woodley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mandic tries to avoid it but Woodley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mandic to the ground. Mandic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Woodley is nestled in close to Mandic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mandic seems to have got his legs back now.

Tyron Woodley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Woodley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
