Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tito Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes into the arena with Public Enemy - Shut 'Em Down blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from McDermot misses.
Hopkins throws the left hand but McDermot avoids the punch easily.
Hopkins missing with a left hand there. McDermot was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hopkins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hopkins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McDermot momentarily.
McDermot walks into a jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hopkins.
McDermot attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hopkins misses the jab.

McDermot is looking to clinch.

and McDermot counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Hopkins throws a looping overhand right but McDermot ducks down to avoid it.

Hopkins motions for McDermot to come forward. Hopkins throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McDermot throws a solid leg kick but Hopkins takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McDermot.

Hopkins will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
McDermot throws a jab but it's blocked by Hopkins.
McDermot jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hopkins jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hopkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McDermot has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McDermot and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hopkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McDermot. That did some damage!
McDermot throws a body punch but Hopkins moves out of range.

McDermot avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

McDermot sizes up Hopkins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Hopkins connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McDermot's hands.

Hopkins punishes McDermot's body with a nice straight punch.
Hopkins cracks a nice hook into McDermot's ribs.
McDermot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McDermot throws a jab when Hopkins was well out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McDermot throws a jab but it's blocked by Hopkins.

McDermot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

McDermot swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McDermot is looking to clinch.
McDermot misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hopkins scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hopkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tito Hopkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hopkins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McDermot has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Good leg kick by McDermot there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McDermot cracks Hopkins with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
McDermot takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and McDermot counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Tito Hopkins has been cut.

and McDermot counters with a huge left! Hopkins is in big trouble! He's backing up but McDermot isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hopkins from any more damage. A dominating finish by McDermot!
