Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gypsy Nirvana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gumby Pokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gypsy Nirvana has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nirvana misses with a low kick.

Nirvana closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nirvana scores with a couple of short elbows.
Nirvana looks up at the clock and then as Pokey takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nirvana smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Nirvana tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nirvana has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nirvana is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pokey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Nirvana has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nirvana goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pokey has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nirvana but great work by Pokey.

Nirvana is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pokey throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nirvana's body to avoid the submission. Nirvana has instead reached around Pokey's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nirvana arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Gypsy Nirvana!
A relieved looking Gypsy Nirvana thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
