Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shavo Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volg Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odin misses with a few strikes there.
Odin throws an overhand right that lands on Zangief's shoulder, as Zangief tries to avoid the shot.
Zangief tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Odin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Odin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zangief on his heels. He'll look to pass Zangief's guard now, I'm sure.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zangief can do anything to dispel that myth.
Zangief can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Odin controls the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Odin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Odin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Zangief for as long as he can get away with.

Odin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Odin waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Zangief. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Zangief to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Odin gets to his feet and stands over Zangief, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Zangief felt that one! Odin unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Zangief from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shavo Odin!
Shavo Odin gave a mention to BioPharm Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
