The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brath closes the distance and clinches up with Pure, looking for a takedown. Brath pushes Pure against the cage but Pure circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Brath with that takedown attempt.
Brath misses with a double jab
and Pure counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Boregone Brath has been cut.
Brath misses with a body kick.
Pure rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brath moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brath shoots for a takedown but Pure saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Pure fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brath manages to avoid it.

Brath shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pure is trying to defend but Brath finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wilford Pure decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
