Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivben Jakynov!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jakynov tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jakynov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jakynov is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.

Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jakynov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jakynov wants to control but Jackson postures up.

Jackson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jakynov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jackson's guard! Nice work there by Jakynov!

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jakynov clinches with his opponent.

Jakynov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jakynov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jackson's guard.

Jakynov stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jackson is breathing heavily.

Jakynov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jakynov is working Jackson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Jakynov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jakynov throws a strike aimed at the side of Jackson's head but Jackson avoids it well.

Jakynov cracks Jackson with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Jakynov is working Jackson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Jakynov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.

Jackson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jakynov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jakynov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson wants to hold on but Jakynov pushes him away.
Jakynov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jakynov postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Jackson bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Jakynov and the fight is over!
