Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Offerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brookins comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart. The crowd seem to be enjoying Offerson's choice of entrance music: Can't F with da South. Jack Offerson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Offerson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Offerson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Brookins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Offerson on his heels. He'll look to pass Offerson's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Brookins postures up in Offerson's guard and throws a big left but Offerson blocks it.

Offerson has momentary wrist control but Brookins slips an elbow through the middle.
Brookins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Offerson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Offerson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Brookins gets in close and instigates a clinch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brookins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
