Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vivek Sai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole Konrad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Sai.
Sai misses with a takedown attempt - Konrad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Konrad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sai works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sai wants to sweep but no luck.
Sai wants to improve his position but instead Konrad has moved into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Konrad connects with a nice short shot to Sai's temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Konrad seems to be working for a kimura but Sai defends the submission attempt.
Konrad content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Konrad takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Sai is looking to escape.
Konrad throwing shots but Sai is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Konrad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sai does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sai manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Sai shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Konrad manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Konrad wants to sweep but no luck.

Konrad is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Konrad is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sai defends well.
Konrad pushes Sai off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sai tries to close the distance and clinch but Konrad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Konrad misses with a looping left.
Konrad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sai throws a nice looking combination but Konrad bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Konrad feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sai is looking for a triangle but Konrad pushes his legs off easily.
Konrad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Konrad lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Konrad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Konrad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sai is trying to keep Konrad in close.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Konrad is looking to work some ground and pound but Sai has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Konrad dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sai throws a right hand that Konrad ducks under and follows up with a left that Konrad also avoids with ease.

Konrad is pushing down on Sai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sai is fighting to maintain full guard but Konrad has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sai is looking to control Konrad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sai avoid being mounted?
Sai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Konrad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sai keeps working.

A big strike lands for Konrad! That's really hurt Sai and he's turned his back - Konrad keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Konrad jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Cole Konrad decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
