The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to bum rush Laurent with a series of wild strikes but Laurent uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Laurent is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Laurent on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz jabs Laurent to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Diaz blocks the body kick.
Diaz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diaz there as he acknowledges the shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Laurent.

Diaz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Laurent.
Laurent uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diaz.

Laurent lands a nice looking body shot.
Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Laurent circles away quickly and effectively.

Diaz throws a big shot that misses.
Laurent throws a hook but Diaz avoids it easily.
Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Diaz misses with a lunging right hand
and Laurent counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Laurent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurent bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Diaz's head.

and Laurent counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Diaz off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Laurent follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Diaz was out before he hit the floor.
