Baduk's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Leontiev Valera - Sokrovische Chernogo Morya. Rua has chosen AVANTASIA-Seven Angels as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sergei Baduk had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baduk is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rua throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Baduk.
Sloppy strikes from Rua. Those never looked like landing.
Baduk throws a right hand that misses
and Rua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Sergei Baduk has been cut.
Baduk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rua takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rua looks to land a left hand but Baduk moved out of range nicely.

Rua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Baduk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Rua postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rua connects with a nice short shot to Baduk's temple.
Rua looks to land a strike but Baduk avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Baduk is wriggling around but Rua manages to pass to half guard.
Rua winds up and cracks Baduk with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Rua wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baduk keeps working.
